Yes my friends its that day of the year again.
SYATP : See You At The Pole 2008
The theme for today is G.O.D. (Generation of Difference)
Well, I was under the grounds team (it just means handling the heavy work, moving stuff, etc) so I arrived in the school by 7.20 am on the dot by walking from home to there. I was just in time to do my job =D Just arranging chairs and moving the tables away ( sure its tiring but hey, at least I managed to help out) by the time we were finish it was already 8.10 am still having some time til the event starts. So I went around taking pictures with my camera and also find a few friends xD
About 9 o'clock the event finaly started with an ice breaker and a praise & worship. Wasn't sure of the time after that because I had to lend my watch to the M.C. , then we prayed for Malaysia and its 13 countries. Then we had a walk around the school while praying for each section and about 11 o'clock we head back to the hall and have our breakfast or branch ( or refreshments as they say). Well this covers up the main purpose of our event and quite a few people went back. But this is not how the whole thing will end =P We have the GAMES TIME!!!
The games were pretty simple but tough and fun. There are 4 games, the first game (it's call Bomb) goes like this : Form a team of equal numbers by head count. Then name your group
anything ( mine was Bomb) then we will make a chant to bomb another team.
(Team Bomb chants) Bomb Bomb Bomb Bomb Bomb bomb to Bomb (x9)(another group name that has 9 Bombs in its name).... and it goes on and on until 1 group pronounces the other groups name wrongly ( Bomb x9 couldn't pronounce Kutu Wasabi, Rojak Kotor).
Then the 2nd game began, this is challenging because each team ( there are 4 teams in total) will compete 1 vs 1. So my team 1 vs team 2. In this game, each team will send a representative who will be blindfolded with our school tie xD and will stand around the 2 tables with Pocky (a type of chocolate coated biscuit stick) sticks on it. The blindfolded teammate must feed his/her team with the chocolate/biscuit but he/she must feed them with the correct flavour which are chocolate or strawberry (my team got the strawberry).
Your teammates ( the not blindfolded) will keep yelling to get you to them but they can also yell to the other team's blindfolded boy/girl to trick them into feeding them to deduct their point. The teammates who must be fed will stand around the table but they give the blindfolded people space to move.
I didn't get trick because there were many factors that help me find my teammates and the correct flavoured chocolate/biscuit xD.
Chocolate/Biscuit guide : Smell the chocolate/biscuit, as strawberry and chocolate has a different scent.
Finding teammates : My team had to tugged in their shirt so I can just feel for their shirt and tugged it to know if its my teammate and my teammate only has 1 girl so its pretty easy to distinct her and the other team's girls =P
Game 3: This game wasn't easy as they fill a tupperware with flour and there is 1 pingpong ball inside it. We can't use our hands to find it instead we must use our breath and blow the flour away but we also can't use our hands to pick up the pingpong ball even if its found, so we have to blow the pingpong ball out. It was a short game and eye hurting with the flour in our eyes but at least after its done you can laugh at others on how silly they look with flour all over their face and hair.
Game 4: The last game of the day but the most funnest game for a hot weather in Malaysia. Yes it has something to do with water to cool us off and wash that flour away xD. This game the teams will combine and form 2 groups, each group will send their leader/representative and he/she will be tape with 3 tissues on him/her. 2 at the front and 1 at the back. The group must wet the other group's tissue to win. My group won xD
Then after that we had to clean up and rearrange everything back to a normal class. Went back home at 2 o'clock. I will update the pictures later =P lazy to do it now.
